Sleep Apnea Risk Factors
Anyone can develop sleep apnea. However, there are certain risk factors that increase your risk for developing obstructive sleep apnea, including:

- BMI: Patients with higher BMIs are more likely to suffer from obstructive sleep apnea.
- Sedatives: Patients who use alcohol or sedatives are at greater risk for breathing-related sleep disorders.
